the rooms are pristine and well designed, i especially loved the decor. the bathroom featured beautiful fixtures. the hotel switched to aluminum water bottles and had water refill stations on many floors, i found this appreciated.
the pool can't be used after 5 p.m., this was disappointing as it would be nice to relax by the pool after sightseeing.

the hotel boasts a rooftop bar, and the cocktails were acceptable.
The room i booked, a beautiful king room, was supposedly lake view. i was given a room on a lower floor with a limited view. also, the minibar was not stocked upon arrival. I had to call multiple times to get it filled, quite annoying.

I enjoyed the upgrade to a lake view room thanks to my hotels.com status. this included a discount at the restaurant (menu looked good, i only had drinks). the room was spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows. housekeeping was responsive. They serviced the room when i was out for the evening after i left the do not disturb sign on.
i noticed the valet area has limited space. it only fits about three cars on a busy street and sidewalk. loading and unloading with my family after a long drive was a little challenging.
